Step by step instructions

Qualified signatures are legally equivalent to handwritten signatures throughout Europe. sproof sign's unique interface makes it possible to sign contracts with various qualified signature providers. This is an enormous advantage when obtaining and issuing legally valid signatures. Among other things, it is possible to sign PDF documents with ID-Austria.

As soon as you are logged in, you can upload a document at the top right.

In the first step, I would like to sign with a qualified signature myself.

I open the "Self-sign" tab, then click on "Type of signature" and filter by the options for qualified signing. If you have a User+ license with sproof sign, you have the option of identifying yourself for the standard QES signature from sproof sign and using it. In this example, our user only has a User license.

However, both you and the people you invite to sign always have the option of using any other qualified signature for which you or your business partners have already identified themselves.

The majority of EU citizens already have an identification with a trust service provider.

In this example: As an Austrian citizen, Thomas has the widely used ID-Austria. He can therefore search directly for this provider or filter by his country.

We select the ID Austria for this document. We place a signature card on the document and click on "Sign now".

A login window for ID-Austria appears and you log in with your access data.

Then you enter the second factor typical for the qualified signature to confirm your identity. This was sent by SMS.

The document is now guaranteed to be legally signed.

The same works with many other signature providers. If you send a document for a qualified signature, your counterpart will of course have the same providers to choose from.

You can check all the signatures affixed to the document and see who the issuer of the signatures is. You can find a tutorial on checking digital signatures here .

Thanks to sproof sign, the QES & eID Hub makes it possible to obtain qualified signatures throughout Europe in a very low-threshold and barrier-free manner. We are continuously updating this interface and integrating additional signature providers step by step.

We wish you lots of fun and many uncomplicated signature processes.
